Ridge Augmentation

In areas where teeth have been extracted, healing often results in horizontal or vertical defects, which remain even after bridgework. These depressions or gaps usually prevent the final restoration from looking natural, or make the replacement teeth look longer than normal.

With advanced planning, the extraction site can be augmented at the time of extraction to prevent these gaps and defects, and ensure a final restoration that appears natural. Even if the restoration or bridge has been in place for some time, these defects and gaps can be augmented to create a more natural appearance.

Alloderm or synthetic materials are particularly useful for these procedures.
